Structural and Optical Properties of Graphene-ZnO Nanohybrid Thin Films Synthesized by Spray Pyrolysis

Graphene-ZnO nanohybrid thin films were prepared by spray pyrolysis technique at 350 °C. Different graphene nanoplate concentrations of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5 wt.% used to deposit on quartz substrates. The Structural optical properties the have been investigated. X-ray diffraction XRD results show that a hexagonal wurtzite polycrystalline structure no secondary phases observed. structural parameters crystallite size, dislocation density, microstrain indicated addition has strong effect microstructure zinc oxide films. Surface morphological analysis ZnO-graphene reveals content effectively modifies morphologies grain growth ZnO microstructure. It was also found from maximum energy gap for pure 3.4 eV which decreases 2.7 as concentration increases wt.%. Results confirmed can be an efficient modifier band engineering enhanced photovoltaic applications.
